Supercharger owners please read!

Post by chiron »

Hi,

If you are the owner of an AFM version of the 4AGZE (MR2 or AE92) please read on....

I have an enigne from an AE92 to fit to my MR2 but the AFM/MAF is missing. What I need is for some kind person to tell me the resistance measurements for the 4AGZE MAF fitted to either a supercharged MR2 or an AE92.

The resistance needs to be measured between the following pins with ignition off:

VS (pin 6 yellow-blue) and E22 (pin 2 brown)
VC (pin 4 yellow) and E22
VS and VC when flapper closed
VS and VC when flapper open

hopefully with this information I will be able to find out an alternative MAF that can be used and pass this information back to everybody during my build up.

thanks! =)

Please post the ecu numbers that came with your engine swap. It is important to know that some Ae92gze's are map based and therefor do not use an afm. You can use a 3sgte afm if you wish, but you must make sure what engine/ecu you have.

My ECU is 89661-12171

its a rare beast, AE92 Trueno DLI with AFM. It also has an exhaust temperature sensor input THG/CCO that I think is for a JDM post-cat temperature sensor.

Rare indeed - I thought the AE92 GZE either had a dizzy and AFM ( early ones with bigport head, same spec as the AW11 ) or DLI and MAP sensor ( late ones, smallport head )

The engine will run fine without the cat sensor though

Edit : Checked, and no AE92 GZE had a dizzy
