After last years successful runs Shaun and I will be having another outing this year it will be on the last Sunday in April the route will be posted up soon, the starting point will be at the market muir car park in Huntly . All MK1s, Superchargers, MK2s, Tubbys, and Mk3 are welcome, come on get your names down for this one the last two were well attended and it is a chance to meet like minded people.
Well Bill goes without saying Susan and i will be there
We'll get the rouite posted up in the next week or so once we work it out
So many good roads up here we just have to decide which ones to do first.
See you all shortly. I thought the winter would never end.
Shane
I've dropped you a PM. I'm interested so far but not too sure if I'll have the MR2 back by then.
....if it's another BBQ thing -I'd be happy to follow in my Freelander and carry all the gear though! Maybe try and find a tent / awning thing this time -LoL.
Hey Richard that would be a great first run for the car.
MMM hears hoping.
I am not sure if we are doing a BBK but might be a good idea with the Gazeebo.
Shane
Shane, are you taking the MK 1, or the MK 3? Bit of a novelty having the choice!!
Toymr2's the third car then. Have we got a route in consideration yet, or is it the Lecht again?
Richard
...edit, gonna pass this thread onto another guy up in Sneck who has turned up with a 1993 Aqua rev 2 GT-i. See if he can make it as well, I think he's an oc'er rather than am imoc'er.
Richard
I am not sure yet
I love the old faithful Mk1 as you know but susan likes the mk3.
Still a couple of little bits to do to the mk3 but need to save a little cash for the twin exhaust and Crome fuel flat surround. That will finish it thought. Totota are so expensive for the parts but im getting their
Might just have to take both
I am meeting up with Bill on Sunday so we will get the route agreed and post up next week.
Shane
Hi Bill hows it hanging
U know i will be there as sure as a bear shites in the woods if im home Bill.
But i guess u knew that.
Roll on CANT WAIT.
WATTY
Had a catch up with Bill at the weekend and here is the planned route for our trip.
Meet in Huntly at the Market Muir car park then head out onto the A96 towards Aberdeen for around 5 miles to Newtongarry Croft and turn off taking the old road to Insch.
From here we will then take the B992 through Auchleven, Keig and out at Whitehouse. Then over to Alford, Bridge of Alford, Mossat and back to Rhynie where we will cut over the A941 Cabrach to Dufftown road.
I would suggest that we stop on this road at the Grouse Inn which offers some mean homebaking and nice traditional tucker.
Probably a wee bit cool for the barbecue for this run Richard but lets make it next time.
From Dufftown I suggest we cut over to Craigellachie and then follow the A95 back to Keith and up to Huntly.
Hope this sounds in order to you all and look forward to seeing everyone on our first meet.
Shane
