Was on the site earlier and depends on what size u op to go for.

for the 8 pot front u have the

330mm that starts at £727 and rises to £800 depending on the brake pads u go for.

356mm £850 - £935

380mm £1234 - £1293 serious brakes lol

The rears are 6 pot and the same price per disc size

Yeah thats not too bad but i think its only recommended that a 356mm disc fits behind a 17inch wheel also i take it the calipers wudn't need changing if you go for a bigger disc later on!!!

Yea thats right about the 356mm

I would like to think that if u decided after a while to go for the bigger disk that it would fit ok.

Is a nice kit.

:-k hmm... Does anyone know if D2 or K-Sport actually test these kits? How well do they work with the MC fitted on our cars? They should have a recommended MC size for operating their calipers properly.

You might find you get more braking force from uprated components on your stock brakes. Obviously no where near as bling though!

The only reason I ask is becuase I've done some looking intot brake kits, and from what I can gather, none are tested or show any reason to make you believe that they're worked out for the application they're listed for. Thats why when I get my brakes done I'll be going to a specialist and will have a set up that is designed for function, and the MR2. Not for bling.

Initial enquiries have led me to a price of £2.5k for a full custom designed front and rear set.

At least that would have being tested mate but 2.k
I think more of our MR2 tuners should do abit more in depth developement into how to get the most from our cars!!!!!!!!!!!
Also us owners need to pitch ideas around !!!!!!!!!

interesting point but most folks will point out the range of pads available and also the impressive 60-0 one time stop distance. Therefore it's argued we don't need to upgrade the brakes for road use. The other pain in the butt is the rear handbrake / brake calliper. No other toyota uses this system so cheap upgrades aint an option. thanks toyota :thumleft:

Andy think the pic shown is just what they look like not the kit designed for the MR2!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so if you have a 400 whp mr2 wud you rely on pads/ discs to stop you quick enough or wud a upgraded rotor stop you quicker Alan i mean we have got Mr2s now running silly power 280Whp and above !!! :-k

dude I totally agree, I'm with you on upgrading the brakes. Look at a Boxster setup. Ish the same power / acceleration and top end and just look at the brakes on that. I'll never have that type of setup but it would be nice.

for info - the supra brakes are 325dia with 30mm width and the hat height is 3mm higher than the mr2. So in theory it won't knock the wheel offsets out by much. Add some GT4 callipers and that should be pretty hot.

Allan mate Gt4 calipers are a nightmare to fit apparently but what we would really need is some one offering the bracket to mount them to our hubs also to work out the handbrake :)

I can't find the rear set up on their website Andy, any pointers or do we need to call them to get a quote?

Cheers
