I have for sale my Import 1991 MKII 2.0l T-Bar MR2, H Reg.

Totally Standard apart from a Nardi steering wheel and boss, Alpine CD player, and colour coded (white) dash plastics (which could easily be put back to stock).

Just recieved full 12 months MOT with only advisory of "Offside front shock absorber has a slight misting of oil and slightly reduced damping affect".

Tax runs out the end of this month (feb 08')

The car has air/e con, although operation hasn't been tested yet in this weather, although does seem to be working.

All the usual extras of imports.

It has the toyota OEM steering fog lights which are fully working, These turn with direction of the steering wheel, so pointing the same way as your looking/turning!

The 4 tyres are of standard size and are near new.

There's some service history with the car and reciepts for new parts.

The car was imported in 2000 with the date of first registration into the UK at 01 07 2000.

Overall the cars in good condition for its age and really looks tidy.

Of course with a car this age there is a few scrates/chips but nothing really noticeable, as can be seen from the pictures below.

The only blemish on the cloth seats is a small hole on the drivers side seat which is pictured below.

The engine/gearbox runs great and starts from cold everytime on the first crank,

Any inspections welcome, AA/RAC etc all welcome.

There is a fault with the passenger side electric window switch, which works intermittently.

The car has a T-Bar roof which is great for the summer months!

I bought the car to basically strip parts off for my turbo MR2 project car but the condition of the car was too nice to strip and scrap!

The Clear crystal sidelights (pictured) have been replaced with the standard orange tinted ones due to one side taking in water.

New Clear crystal sidelights can be sourced off ebay etc should the new buyer like to replace them.

Overall a great cheap mid engined sports car for the summer!

I know tkl is looking for a car, so there's someone who might be into it when he sees it. However:

This is an MR2 forum, and you're selling a fairly standard sort of MR2 - not some tuned up monster or rare limited edition or revision. Therefore you're currently trying to sell sand to arabs.

Try eBay, try AdTrader and autotrader.

I'm not going to tell you not to drop the price, because I'm hoping tkl gets his T-bar car in his budget, but as a general rule, people are dropping prices in these forums like mad without grasping the obvious - that most people reading already have an MR2, and will mostly be looking for "better ones" or "spares ones" if at all. Don't take the lack of interest over a few days to be an overvalued car.

I used to help out a bit in the trade; cars could sit for months. If every seller were so keen to drop prices in a matter of days, we'd be getting free cars on every street corner
