This car is up for sale due to the mrs been pregnant and the child is due soon,

I'm hoping for a quick sale,

The ad is basically as follows:

1994 Toyota MR2 GT Turbo Power Steering retract mirrors steering fogs standard car no boost up modifications apart from:-

A Down pipe and HKS Mushroom filter supplied by GTS Chris (Still have the Cat if you wish to have it fitted and the original airbox)

TRD exhaust (Very Rare),

Greddy Turbo timer,

Blitz Blow Off Valve/BOV/Dump Valve,

JBL Component speakers in front

JBL 6x9's in rear compartments, Pioneer Headunit (MP3/CD/Tuner),

CD Changer,

Bluetooth Handsfree,

Boost guage (but requires housing),

EBC Red Stuff Pads (was recomended red stuff instead of green due to the vehicles standard horsepower)

Bilsiten Front and Rear Springs and dampners (Came as standard on the rev3 turbo version MR2)

approx 90,000miles,

leather suede interior,

Standard steering wheel Standard alloys

timing belt changed at 60k miles in Aug 2006 (In japan prior to importing)

Just had all 4 ball joints and tyres replaced,

Full Japanese service record.

Other wise very nice unmolested car.

I am currently the only owner it has had since been in the UK, This MR2 was imported 6month ago and still has 6month MOT and 6month Tax

Spares:

This car also comes with a spare rear bumper (UK style rear reg plate and in white)

has a Bomex Front Bumper (was bought second hand and has not been fitted)

Catalytic Convertor (which goes where the downpipe is fitted)

Please note that most Rev 3 Turbo models get sold for around £4000-£4500 mark

The rev 3 turbo is the most sought after version of the MR2 Turbos as it is stock at 245bhp, The rev 2 models (1992-1994) is 220bhp and the rev 1 turbo model (1990-1992) is only 200bhp)

The rev 3 comes standard on Bilstien Front and rear dampners and springs whilst the previous models was standard Toyota suspension setup, so this model handles better than previous models.

2 Payment options:

Full payment Can be made by paypal
or

A deposit of £250 can be made by Paypal then remainder in cash or cheque (However car will not be released until all funds are cleared)

The email address you can get in touch with me on is [email protected]

A few points you should note is that there was only one TRD edition MR2 and that was the widebody one yours just has a sticker on it.

Rev1 and Rev2 cars had the same power 220hp.

Rev2 cars also had bilstein shocks.

You dont need to put the url in either

Would you be interested in selling your white UK style bumper seperately?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this...

Image

...doesn't make your car a TRD in any shape or form.

A few more facts...

The rev 3 turbo is the most sought after version of the MR2 Turbos as it is stock at 245bhp, The rev 2 models (1992-1994) is 220bhp and the rev 1 turbo model (1990-1992) is only 200bhp)

Wrong. The Rev 1 was rated at 220bhp also.

It runs alot quicker than what a UK version would do (a UK one meaning a UK car that has had the 3s-GTE engine transplant in it an has been mapped to UK fuel which is 95-97RON)

Wrong. A UK model that has been converted, will be every bit as quick as a JDM model. The reason... A UK model with a turbo conversion will need to use the corresponding ECU from the JDM vehicle, and therefore will run on exactly the same RON fuel.

Also, the stock ECU cannot be re-mapped (yet).

Imports are mapped to 101-103RON fuel so run alot better when used with the Octane boosters.

See the answer given above.

The 3S-GTE (MR2 turbo/Celica GT4 ST205 engine) is extremely easily tuned and can easily hit 500bhp by doing simple mods.

Really? I spent the best part of £30k getting mine to around 500bhp, and they were far from simple modifications.

The TRD 2000GT pushed 380bhp or there abouts but remember this was a 2.2stroker Turbo engine, not a 2.0litre

Wrong. The TRD 2000GT was built to the customers specification, and therefore came in all manner of engine outputs, from over 500bhp, to bog stock.

Sorry to burst you bubble mate.

no ones nit picking buddy, just informing you of mistakes in a sale ad. As you can see elsewhere in the forums, misinformation can lead to a right old mess. Also better for you so you don't get any kickback from potential buyers.
Glad to see you've found a taker all the same

Do not be deceived by badges! I came very close to buying this BMW 328 pictured below. If it wasnt for me noticing at the last minute that someone had changed the badge from "318" to "328" with a permanant marker pen I would of bought it - how lucky was I?!

Chris...just kidding mate - easly mistake to make and all the best with your swap :-)
