Membership renewal/expirey

Post by Slarty »

To who it concerns.

Does the club send out an email when membership is close to expiring? If so, was this lost during the recent events?

I've just realised that my membership has expired #-o

On the GT4OC you recieve an email a month or so before expirey, giving you a chance to pay in advance etc.

Also, who do I PM to get details to renew my membership please? :)

Oh great, we can't even give our money away now #-o

To be honest, in the last year I haven't used any discounts etc, so I've gained nothing from my £5 spent, but I prefer to pay and help the club keep running.

Oh well

Hello. Once you revert back, you should have the link at the top which allows you to go through and re-do your premium membership

See the highlighted link - click on that and go back through, it's far far better to use that process than to do it manually, otherwise we'd have to get somebody adjusting members groups full time :flossy:

As for not getting a response, if you have PM'ed somebody and they never replied, that's not good - but if you did it in the past week, perhaps not surprising. If you've just posted it in places, then best to PM a mod or admin, so we are aware you have an issue.

OK ....

If you've signed up as a Premium member, you don't need to do anything else - Annually your Membership will renew.

However, if you've gone into Paypal separately and removed the auto-subscription renew that then can cause problems.

If you're back to being a normal member - try re-subscribing. Once that is done you need to logout and log back in to the site to pick up your new membership level.

If that doesn't work, drop Alex or I a PM.

Appriciated :+: A fiver isn't much, but without the support of the Premium Members and Affilaites we couldn't cover the costs of running IMOC and the club wouldn't be here.

If you'd like to donate more, that's also fine ;)

Ahem, I never saw that

Ok, being the old stickler that I am, I do not and will not use Paypal. I guess I must have paid by cheque last year.

Who do I contact to pay by this method?

And no Ben, I know that any further donations will only go to the "Mods beer fund for Christmas" ;)

I would like to seriously discourage payment by other means at the moment. If you absolutley have to pay by cheque, then there might well be a long wait for your account to be upgraded.

glol, if only that were true. All the money goes into funding the hosting and things like JAE.

PayPal is one of the safest forms of money transaction methods there is. Dead easy to use to.

Erm, yes, I'm sure. However I don't appreciate being charged to spend my money, or someone else being charged to recieve said money :|

Does IMOC have a bank account that I can transfer the funds into? Failing that, could I have the address of a mod/chairperson to send a cheque to please?

Thanks :)
