wheel refirb - how much and where ?

Post by CosmosblueMR2 »

Hi all,

just keeping my options open... does anyone know how much it costs to refurb alloys ?...

was thinking of getting the rims repairs (scuff marks from inept parking) and while i was at it get the rims redone in another colour (maybe gunmetal - shiney dark smoke colour - best i can explain it really)

anyone know how much ? or can recommend a place ? - I'v heard of some place in Kent - but the name escapes me.

(I''m in essex by the way so probably need to be local(ish)
cheers for any info

Hi Frank, the place in Kent is called Lepsoms. It costs £55 per wheel + vat.If you want to use them let me know and I'll take you there!
p.s they don't touch split rims! :(

Lepsoms - that's the kiddy ! =D>

yep my mate used them on his skyline wheels - going on his 200sx.
If you could take me along that would be really kind of you !!

usual silly scenario though... how do i get my wheels to them - looks like I'll have to hire another car ! haha.
or maybe I could ponse a lift off that mate of mine - how far are they from Dartford Bry ?

hi dude.
lepsoms are in gillingham.
i orginally got a quote of £40+VAT a wheel.
they wanted to see my alloys, and due to being deep dish and not your average finish, now they want £55+VAT a wheel. standard rerurb of my volks.

of and if i wanted any colour on there, they said £80+VAT a wheel.

so there you go mate, lol!

25 more an alloy to add a lik of paint tho is a bit crazy! (ie, a crazy colour)

Looks like I will have to take a trip over to them and "discuss"

get a quote from them that they will stick to... seems a bit silly ramping the price up like that !

Bry.. let me know when you are about after this weekend's festivities (bolney etc) - will have to come down there with you. - I know you work some funny hours - but I'm ok for weekends.

cheers
Frank.

ps - you two going to Bolney tomorrow ? - I'm joining the IMOC and MR2OC convoy at Pease Pottage at 10:40-11:15 ish.

but first picking up a few at Thurrock and going in convoy from there at 9:45am if you are..

hope so ! :thumright:
