Who's in the Bognor Regis / Chichester area?

Seen another MR2 when you were out and about? Find out if it was another IMOCer here.

I own the silver Rev 3 veilside in chi. The one and only. Not many other MR2's turbos about. Only ever seen one rev 2 tubby. All the rest are Na's.

Very nice car. Quick Q&A though, how can you tell a tubby from a n/a just from driving past?

Nice to meet you by the way mate. Your username caught my eye a lil while ago, my brother's name is Mike Coppin...M. Coppin so...lol

PS/ seems we have a lot in common, well headunit's anyway lol. By the way, did that breather filter do any good on your 2?

You can tell, by a few things. Easiest way is if it still has twin cam 16 turbo written on the strip behind the doors, and the other is the engine bay lid has raised vents, were as the na has a flat lid.
As for the breather filter no it doesn't really do anything performance wise, but it looks good in the engine bay. It supposed to stop any oily air/residue getting recirculated back into the intake pipe, which is where the pipe that the filter replaces normally runs to.
Its a good headunit isn't it. Had it for a while, goes perfectly with my blue light theme within the car.

Oh okay, I best keep my eyes peeled so as not to 'run before I can walk' takin on a Tubby lol.

Yeah I like it, too many choices though, for EQ settings I mean, can spend hours fine tuning the treble, bass, middle, balance, fader etc lol

Shame it's shiny though. Nice to look at though a pain in the ar$e having to take off the fascia every time I pull up and lock the car lol

You not drive Bognor way often? Not seen your car around b4...

Havent had her rr'd yet. But be around the 290-300bhp mark i should think. Just waiting to get my intercooler on, and i have a unichip sat here waiting to be to fitted and remapped after its on. Then should be around the 320bhp mark, maybe more if i'm lucky.
Only running 1bar of boost at the moment, and that's only on good days, as my manual boost controller cant keep my hybrid turbo in check, but my unichip will sort that out and get me to a hopefully consistent 1.2bar. So its pretty quick, great fun.

Get up to the Guildford Meet on the 23rd of this month.
Doesn't matter if you got an N/A or a turbo you welcome.
Plenty of MK1 and MK2 N/As there.
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Is it a proper meet though? Or is it just chavs screamin round car parks burning up tyres, puffin on weed and being t**ts or are we talking a genuine meet up have a chat, mutual exchange of car interest, then go on home kind thing?

How dare you insult the Guildford meet in that way!!

For starters it is not at night so no chavs at all!! No chavs own MR2's in the Guildford area.....

We meet up usually at spectrum car park for 45 mins or so....Have a good ol chinwag about our motors.....Problems, mods, dyno runs, or smut!! \:D/ and then we go for an hour long blast through some of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshires best A and B roads. Finally winding down at a pub somewhere for food and a cold pint!! 8) :thumleft:

Sounds good, i know! :thumleft:
