[Mk2] [Turbo] Anyone got any tips/easy way to get alternator pulley off?

Post by johndgt4 »

Hi,

Looking at the manual it says use SST a here, SST b there yadda yadda yadda.

It's a 10mm nut shaft and a 22mm nut over it. Can you just use a 10mm socket and a 22mm ring spanner?

Any tips greatly appreciated as I have a nice shiny alloy pulley to put on there and don't want to mash the unit up.

Thanks in advance

Use an air wrench to take the nut off. Then use an air hammer to take the pulley off. Job done in 1 minute flat.
