MR2 Mk1 Ice Blue Pearl Spares/Repairs

Post by Alistair »

See below, failed MOT on corrosion to seatbelt lower attachment points. No time or inclination to repair as MOT runs out tommorow and I need to replace with a sensible car whilst I carry out some home improvements (i.e. something that actually has a boot).

I personnally think shes too good for the scrapper but that is where she will be going unless one of you wants her. Possibly a good project, or more likely a cheap track car. The arches actually arent too bad at all, save for a hole in the passenger rear by the mudflap, which I have bridged with P38. - but it needs finshing.

Good Points

Coveted blue interior
All electrics work
Receipts for recent work done including waterpump and cambelt.
Clutch and Gearbox seems fine (no popping out of fifth)
Engine has done 130K , so a little tappity at times, but pulls hard and you can feel the TVIS opening.
Yokohama C-drives all round (one has a chunk out of it though and should be replaced before any spirited driving)
I'm in Farnborough, M3 J4. Come and see it and/or make me an offer. But be quick :thumleft:
