JAE - who ISNT going?

Post by waynestoyotamr2 »

Ok, I cant make it for a number of reasons! :(

But surely I am not the only one?

Mk1 owners, cheer me up, tell me why you are NOT going to JAE this year!

I'm not going, for various reasons...

1) my girlfriend thinks I soend too much of my life talking about my car
2) she also thinks I spend too much money on it
3) I'm refurbing my calipers this weekend, as well as helping my mate do some work on his MK1
4) I'm supposed to be saving up to go around the world. I leave on 1st Feb '08 and have got eff all saved so far :pale:
5) I've neeb away for the last few weekend, and will be for a few more over summer, I just need a weekend in my own bed!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one going, 'cos I'll sure as hell be looking for some advice on here saturday when I'm doing my calipers...

I'm not going because the car is in my garage but the cylinder head is in the shed.

im not going.

possibly got a family commitment on saturday, and i want to get some more work done on the car on Sunday (as well as watch the F1). i aim to make it next year with the car nearer to some form of completion (technically it will never be finished so long as i own it as il always move the goalposts further away, but if i can ever get it to 95% completion il be happy lol)

Im not going because I simply cant afford to, plus I thought it was in 4 weeks time, not this weekend.
Been hoping to go since just before Xmas I think. Gutted.
I just hope the weather holds out. I have heard mention of severe weather warnings again. If not again for the whole summer, I hope it stays nice this weekend.

I suspect nobody will care but I'm not going :)

I don't like the current location, not only is the ground loaded with poo from the dog show just before JAE it also lacks the nice atmosphere for a weekend away that Billing had.
