[Mk2] [Turbo] whats the stud pattern for exhaust manifold on rev3 1995 turbo gt

Post by Mad-Mark-UK »

Hi All

Can anyone tell me the correct stud pattern for exhaust manifold on an MR2 Tubby 1995 GT, is it 7,8 or 9 studs im looking at replacing the gasket as mine has started blowing but might just replace the whole manifold and gasket at the same time.
Many Thanks

it's 8.

at least it was on my 94 rev3.

Do you think the manifold really needs changing? they're pretty solid things, unless you want an aftermarket one I suppose.

exhaust manifold stud pattern

Post by Mad-Mark-UK »

Hi Ian

Thanks for replying I thought it was 8 but needed someone else to clarify??? .

I cant find any 8 stud pattern manifolds anywhere for love nor money,I have an aftermarket s/s one on my tubby at the moment but I herd they are prone to cracking, the cast one is able to handle up to about 400bhp.

If my manifold has cracked or warped causing the gasket to leak I will need to replace it but to start with I just need to replace the gaskets exhaust and turbo and hopefully stop the ticking noise as its driving me mad now.
Many Thanks
