Hey guys,

Just wanted to thank you all for being here and answering all my stupid questions. I am now the pround owner of a Red Mr2 1992 plate. I have only ever driven 1L cars so its pretty quick init

It was a fun 160 miles to pick it up but its worth it. Didnt go to bed untill 1AM but was outside polishing it at 8.30

Its looking really nice but i think its going to rain now

Do all the safety stuff first like :

Good brake pads, make sure all the brake calipers are working 100%, and tyres.. its important to have a good branded tyre on the rear at least - then the worls your oyster - the MR2's a very tunable cars.

Think of it now being the slowest it'll ever be !

Yeah, make sure its all ok and serviced and just enjoy driving it first!

Mods, if necessary can always come later.

The wheels are in a bit of a state but the tyres on the rear are brand new(fitted for the mot yesterday). Not sure of the make though.

Cant decide if its worh getting the standard ones re finnished or just getting a new set of wheels with good tyres on so i know that they are ok.

Im just happy to play in it for a while as standard. It plenty for me but there are a couple of things i need to do like.

Change the CD player because it has a standard one that isnt working(wont even turn on) Tape + radio is fine though.

New gear knob + steering wheel as both are work and look nasty

Drivers seat is a bit worn on one side (by the door) so will have to find a way of fixing it! New seat / Seat cover?????

Get a pot of red paint to touch up all the little stone chips i found when i washed it. Does anyone know the name of the paint i need or where i can find it?

Know how u feel mate, i managed to get a red T bar G limited with only 70k on it for £3000 a year or so, washing it all the time! Get some pics up soon!
