Rev1 MR2 GT Turbo

Post by mikey2 »

Hey all, unfortunatly, after only two months of owning this car i have to sell, a shame really cos i really like her! I need the money to pay for a course which i really want to do for when i leave the RAF.

standard CT-26 with a small amount of shaft play
HKS intercooler and pipeowrk fitted by 3S 3 weeks ago
Fuel cut defence
Option for MBC, and will run 1.1 bar all day long
New Rocker cover gasket
recent cam belt and tensioner
recent head gasket
all new disks and pads
recent clutch but does slip slighly in 4th and 5th
all wheel bearings
Head bolts replaced
Hand brake cable
New headlight bulbs ( still in box )

Those are the bits a bobs that have been done as preventative maintenance

It also has
Full leather seats, black and yellow
mountney steering wheel and boss
low rise headlights ( not fitted )
speakers in doors and rear wings ( dont know anymore )
Amp cabling and power installed behind pass seat
DVD player and 7" screen ( may leave in ) wired up but not to amp
Original toyota windscreen with radio antenna built in
Steering foglights ( only one actually steers, but this is wiring)
Push button starter

Engine wise,
The block is standard, the valve shims have been done by 3S to eliminate a small rattle
XS Power tubular manifold
Blueflame straight through exhaust
BIG K&N filter
Cusco front and rear strut braces
Painted Rocker cover and pipework
HKS Intercooler, fitted by 3S with custom pipework
ATS Racing throttle body
Blitz Super sound BOV ( Leaky but not too bad)
Poss standard LSD.

Also the car has a touch over 80k on the clock

Bodywork wise its not the greatest, its not bad either just a few minor little marks, it was resprayed quite badly and only if you look close can you see where. I have not found any rust on her as yet either, and i pay close attention to all details when i am giving her a clean. She has a full rev3 rear light conversion, with working fogs and reverse lights, plus also clear front indicators too, one orange bulb required to replace the normal white one.
There is slight curbing on a few wheels, but nothing dramatic, it also has abs, but i dont really like it but thats down to you really, the car itself is beautifully smooth to drive, there is no crunching through gears and the syncros are good, there are no rattles and no knocks, the engine is smooth and the boost, while harsh is predictable, and if you do push it and lose the back ina corner the LSD does make a huge difference in the characteristics of the car.

Right, enough blabbering on, PM me if you want my number or want to view, the car is currently in worthing in full running order.
Plus it has a cat1 alarm and immob, but will need to be recertified as i dont have the certificate.

Cheers Mike

Hey all, be messed about from bloke on ebay, beware of FLYING_ADAM if your selling an mr2!! mine was the second one he didnt turn up on,

But its still for sale, the boost issue has been sorted now and it holds one bar again, was the wastegate stuck on the downpipe, have ground the downpipe down now and all is fine.

I was after about 2800 to 3k, but i really need to sell now and will accept 2500, so if anyone interested pls let me know asap.

The price is set at 2500, i wont let it go for less, i know i can get that for it, and i can borrow the money for the course, but as a last resort. Thanks though
