This is the 7th JAPS show, and it keeps getting bigger! The event is set in the amazing grounds of Thoresby Park and is soon filled with Jap Car clubs and private entries. There are a number of trade stands and auto jumble areas, plus food stalls.
The main ‘event’ as such is an organised car show, with a show-arena set out to display each category of car in turn. You basically listen to the tannoy for a category to suit the MR2 (eg. 2-seater class, RWD class, Classic) and drive into the judging arena. The MK1 Supercharger caught the judges’ eye in 2005 where John Upsall won ‘Best in Show’!
There is an option to camp on the Saturday evening – basically you turn up and pitch your tent. If I decide to camp over I will make sure the gazebo is up and flag flying for a focal point to get-together.

I will buy a few tickets in advance to secure our booking, but on a first come first serve basis (MK1 club members first)– after that you can pay on the day.

Tickets are £5 in advance, £7 on the day (camping free, but no facilities except W.C.)

Nah think i might pay on the day if i go at all, most of Rotherham is under 3 foot of water so Thoresby won't be much better

Please note that The Japanese Auto & Performance Car Show due to be held at Thoresby Park near Ollerton in North Notts this Sunday has been postponed until Sunday 19th August 2007. This is of course due to the flooding in the local area, which has lead to many road closures, plus the forecast for heavy rain on Saturday falling on an already saturated showfield. All trade sites and advance tickets already paid for will be valid for the new date, set up and camping will be from 2pm to 7pm on Saturday and from 7am on Sunday 19th August.

The documents attached are as follows, the Word document is a booking form for the show, the other document is a pdf advert which you are free to distribute as you see fit.

We look forward to seeing you at Thoresby on 19th August.

The MK1 Club will not be having a club stand at the show on this new date as it clashes with out Tatton Park Show.

As far as I know it is on this weekend, but it clashes with Tatton for the mk1 club so I'm not sure if any IMOCers are going.
