MK2 EXIGE STYLE ENGINE BAY COVER £270 INC DELIVERY!

Hi all, following a recent thread about these i did a bit of searching and the only place i've found in the uk that does them is a place called Replikit (replikit.co.uk). They sell the new engine lids for £340 (not sure if thats painted or not, have to check that, i'd guess unpainted). I've emailed them about a group buy for us to get them a bit cheaper, they're giving me a quote on getting 30 orders, they havent come back with a price yet but hopefully it'll be within the next couple of days.

Just putting this up to see if there's much interest? I for one think they look great and definately want one

Just spoke to Chris at Replikit and got us a great price! They're normally £340 plus vat plus delivered (so thats £400 plus delivery), he said if we get 30 orders he'll do them at £270 inc vat and delivery! They''ll be primed and ready to paint, each one will come with all the brackets etc to fit.
Regarding payment, he said it'd be easier for everyone to pay me, then me pay him and send him everyones details (name, address etc) to get them sent out rather than him getting 30 paypal's/cheques etc and having to keep track of it himself. The lead time will be approx a month from order to delivery as they'll be made to order

We just need 30 people now!

Just emailed Replikit about this, i'll get back with a price. But it'll be a lot more than the fibre glass one i imagine, and that would be going on if 30 people bought carbon fibre ones, which i doubt will happen, so i'd guess carbon fibre ones arent going to happen as a one off just for a few people wouldnt work out cheap

but i'll get back with a price anyway

had an email back, he said because carbon fibre is so expensive and sort after if they did do it it'd work out being about £700 per unit, so not worth it really

Really would prefer a perspex one.

just had an email back from Chris @ Replikit about the perspex lids, he said for us to see how many orders we get as we might be able to do something. i've asked him to clarify that as to how many orders we'd need to do the perspex ones, i'll keep you posted!

just heard from Chris @ Replikit, he's looking into the perspex ones, but he says they'll be a lot more expensive, because its a different method of making them which they dont normally do. so for now i'd have to say forget the perspex idea. so just the list of fibreglass ones we'll do
