Waxed! (pics)

Post by JOHNM400 »

A few people have asked me about Autosmart products. Heres the results of our Carnauba Gold paste wax. Please note that when i bought the car it was badly faded and looked pink. The car overall needs a few bits touching up here and there and the wheels need re-finishing but i couldnt resist getting the wax out why it was sunny!
Some of the lighting in a few of the pics is poor as well but i didnt know how to set the camera up properly!

Cheers mate, theres a few bits need doing here and there but they will be done in the summer.I know its only another bog standard MR2 but i prefer to try keep my cars pretty much original. Im a bit disappointed with the lighting in some of the pics especialy the full car pic.

That does look very good indeed :thumleft:

However, its not possible to go from badly faded pink to that with just a wax?! Wax is just a coating.

You must have used a polish first, or your wax has some polish in it?

The car was pink when i got it about a year ago. I buffed the paint soon after getting it to bring the colour back. However,i hadnt waxed it for a while before the other day. The wax is our own paste palm wax blend like the Zymol stuff but at a snip of the cost.

You can go from dull paint to a very good shine in one step by using Mirror Image which contains polishing plates combined with carnauba wax.The results are not as reflective as the above pics but are still very good.
