replacement barrel

Post by Simon »

some gimp tried to steal my car last night and has broken the drivers side lock. If I get the replacement barrel from toyota is this something that is simple to fit myself?
Any ideas how much this is gonna cost to keep it to the same key?

Thanks

Yep dead easy to fit.

no eye dear on cost i'm afraid. remove the old one and there will be a key number on the barrel, thats the info you need.

thanks for the advice :D
how do get to the lock; do I need to remove the inner door panel? And do I definitely need this number or can I use the chassis number?

take door panel off and you will see it.

you could use the chassis number but seeing as you need to remove the old barrel anyway you may as well use that, that way toyota can't get it wrong.
