A Renault 5 GTT has muscled its way into my garage, and this means that the MR2 must unfortunately go. I have just finished the cosmetics on it, and am pretty happy with the subtle touches it has.It is a UK car and has the 3SFE engine, so is very cheap on insurance and returns a very good mpg.
Not as quick as the 3SGE, but is still pretty frisky - about as quick as my old 205 1.9 Gti.This car has had:
New 17 inch alloys
(+ tyres). They are a dark chrome effect and look great with the dark blue bodywork.It's been to the bodyshop and had some minor bubbling to the rear arches sorted, along with the sills at the rear.
Therefore the bodywork is excellent.It has clear indicators and irridium side repeaters
(standard ones included).It has the active speaker setup
(4 speakers and a sub and amp) coupled to an Alpine CD head unit, so sounds great.It's had a new gearshift gaitor.
It's recently had new discs and pads all round, dizzy cap, rotor arm, plugs and induction kit
(standard air box included). I also have a new oil filter and oil, that should get installed this week.The brake callipers have been done in silver, and look good behind the 5 spoke alloys.
All electrics work
- Aerial, windows, lights etc.It has the original tool kit, space saver and manuals
/ service history etc.It's MOT'd until mid November, and has done less than 1000 miles since the last MOT, as my cars get a nice rest during nasty winter weather.
Taxed until the end of July.
It has done just over 95k miles, and still runs sweetly.
