[Mk2] [Turbo] Honest - I really had to do it!!!

Post by Chr15py »

Ok, please be kind but I really had to do it!

On my last visit to rogue, matt mentioned that I need a new air panel filter for my ARC Super Duper Induction Box as it looked "way" past it's best.
So, today at lunch I thought I'd whip it out and measure for size to get the correct one for my filter. HOLY xxxx!! Quite frankly, the filter had decayed to the point that one side of the paper bit had begun to retreat into the box (old design so had paper panel instead of new foam type). I rang everywhere - Envy were quoting 4 - 5 weeks and Sumopower 2 max for a replacement ARC filter - I ordered from SP :D .

Obviously worried for my tubbys safety I rang Pipercross, K&N, Greenfilters with the size and only pipercross could get one...in 3 weeks special order! So, as I need to drive my tub to work everyday, I bought the only cone filter I could get my hands on to pass the week. A "Max Power" one to help me to and from work   [-( ](*,) :tumbleweed: :eye:

Observations so far:
1) I sound like a chav
2) Chavs notice me
3) I'm sooooooo embarressed!

I'm sorry but it was needed!

For those others with ARC boxes (me), it would be useful if you could post the part number for the Pipercross alternative.

I saw and heard Chr15py's new "Max Power" cone filter in action today. All I can say is: WOW! Not only does it look bling in his engine bay, but as I followed it down the road the noise it made at high revs was awesome and sounded like it must have been giving the engine at least an extra 15bhp......

...........innit

Get one boyz only £19.99 at MotorWorld.

I did the same thing a while back, Checked my filter and it had crumbled away. Since like you i use my car for work daily i bit the bullet and bought a max power filter while waiting for the new one to arrive. It was sooooo Blingy, with its chrome cover on it

Yours must be the older model though cause mine added 22hp proven on me home made rollerz...... Mint innit 8)
