not knocking this at all, but im slightly confused.... you say £27,000 was spent on it, how much of it went on the engine? as £13,000 will get you a 550bhp /400lbft+ gt35r Stroker build,+fuel system,RMR,motec,highly worked head,cams...!?!

I am also confused...........was'nt this mark edwards old car...which was smashed up in a crash.........if so ...has it been repaired....or am i totallly barking up the wrong tree.....

Morning all,

agentturbo first...nope, Mark and I had very similar cars but at the time (not sure about spec pre write-off) mine had more power. So this is NOT that car

And ryanrs second...the £27000 has come from using all JDM parts from the start, including TE37s at £3000, Border bodykit at over £1500 fitted, £2000 on the TRD clutch (back when they were expensive).

The engine parts alone total around £8500, without build/fitting.

Also, bear in mind, I'm running the car conservatively at 380hp at the wheels, the turbo can puff another 1/2 bar almost.

It's amazing that within 2 years all the MR2 people have come out of the woodwork with new suppliers and workshops springing up here and there, making their own kits and sourcing parts that simply weren't there before...progress is what I'd call it

it's amazing what you can get for 13k these days.
