price of mk1a

Post by eRATic »

i may be selling my mk1a soon but have no idea what sort of money it is worth.

i am the 2nd owner of the car which has got 67000 miles on it (genuine miles), full TSH up to 51,000 miles then serviced by me every 6,000.

it is on the original arches, no rust, except for a small ding by the rear light, and has had Celica ST165 calipers with mk1b discs on the front, Koni suspension and has been poly bushed.

the problems with it are it needs a new clutch, will need an exhaust soon and it has been scratched on the bonnet and down the side. it has lived in london up to last year so i guess this is typical vandalism.

The interior is mint bar a mk1b gear tunnel console put in to give a bit more space.

The car is known to Jinxy and a couple of others so i guess i am really looking for their input.

thanks guys

Put some pictures up :) - surely with no real bodywork prob, low mileage & a decent service history it must be worth £1500+ ??

I more or less agree with Huw, though £1500 is probably near top money for it, so I'll plump for £1200-£1500.

The admin are a bit keen on here

For anyone interested in this "maybe for sale" thread that I've been in this MK1 and it's in great condition for it's age

Martin, I sold the Teg on as I couldn't afford to repair the gearbox and have bought a Polo TDi for going to and from work

Now, I'm looking to buy a MK1 MR2 as a fun car but I'm looking to spend less than £1000 :D

Take it easy, mate and good luck with the sale :D

Dion.
