I am planning on selling the MR2 in summer so thought I'd make a post now to get interest built, it could be sold earlier to the right buyer.

The car will have just seen 100,000 miles in which time it has done 30,000 miles under my ownership

(2 years).

I have had the car meticulously cared for and faults sharply rectified.

Most work

(i.e.

the important work) is done by Peter at SBITS

- a well known MR2 specialist.

An interesting thing to note at this point is that when I had the cam cover gasket changed it was found the engine was a Jap one

- not a UK one.

There's minor differences.

So in some point in it's life it's had a
new engine
put in, so technically, the engine hasn't done 100,000 miles!

Indeed, the car has had a lot of work done to it, I'll try and list everything but

I've forgotten something inevitably! All paperwork has been kept in a big fat A4 binder.

- Remus Dual Exit Exhaust

- K&N Panel filter

- New refurbed calipers all round

- Handbrake cables

- Coolant change in last year

- with Toyota Forlife

- Cambelt change in last year

- Rad cap

- Recent radiator

- Recent alternator

- Clutch change

- Slave cylinder on clutch

- Gearbox

(second hand, filled with Redline MT90)

- H&T Prothane bushes all round

- Eibach springs

(but I am currently wanting to change these to standard)

- KYB Adjustable shocks

- Remus Exhaust and Decat

(as mentioned, it's a jap Rev2 engine)

- New engine mount

- Import rear bumper

- New rear sill

- Rev 2 wheels

- Dipstick holder

- Uprated door speakers, 6x9's in rear and double din Kenwood stereo.

- Refurbed aerial motor and mast

- Front top mounts

- The T bars do not leak but have done previously.

I've used silicone sealant and silicone spray to help cure them

As you can see, a lot has been spent on it.

Further to this, for your own security, I have had the car serviced

(C service

-

£275 receipt) at SBITS.

Mechanically the car is perfect, runs very well and produced 161bhp

(3bhp over Toyota's standard) on the rolling road

- the graph I still have to prove it!

So why am I selling such a minter? Firstly, my new job demands something more practical than a two seater

- looking at diesel Focus's.

Secondly

- economy

- mine averages about 320miles to a tank which is quite good compared to some and equals about 35mpg.

But I could do with more economy, as u can see, I cover a lot of miles every year.

Thirdly, I am in the process of getting a motorbike licence which will be my

'joy ride' as it were.

One of many pictures.

Asking price

-

£2495 ono.

I know I don't expect to get the thousands I put into the car.

PM me or call 07771 728 244.

Little extras for you

- I will throw in some half worn Toyo tyres and a turbo engine lid.

Great deal!

Josh

EDIT to add: I have never had the car breakdown.

One time the dipstick holder fell off and dropped the oil from the sump as I was driving and had to call the RAC to come out to fix that one! Was an expensive job in the end.

The sump had to be dropped in order to get to the hole

Will consider swap for Ford Focus

(plus potentially cash your way) or Honda Varadero 125.
