mate, these 3 companies have been named for a reason, theyve been tried and tested, and everyones more than happy to go with either of these companies.
these 3 are the ones i hear about most of all, the others, have all had bad words said, so no-ones mentioned these to save you the hassle of getting a dog of a car.

I am currently in the process of importing a car, I am using a company called Topspec.

http://www.topspec-imports.com/jap_contact_us.htm

They were reccomended to me by two users of the Toyota owners club.

Although I have not got my car yet.....(I have paid my deposit and will be bidding at the auctions next week) They have been very good so far.

Give them a call or visit and speak to Marc. He is a very genuine, easy to get along with guy.

Topspec have access to the same cars as Julian, only I think you will find Topspec far cheaper.

Anyway, I can keep you informed of progress if you PM me.

Topspec have access to the same cars as Julian

Code: Select all

I don't think that's strictly true.

What do you mean Skywalker?

I am informed that Topspec have exactly the same access to the auction houses that Julian has. I have no reason to doubt this information.

Are you saying that this info is spurious?

The only reason I say this, is yes I would've thought lots of import companys use the same auction houses.

But if I were an importer, I'd have a few garages up my sleeve that I kept hush hush. so that's why I said it's not 'strictly' true.

Don't get me wrong, I doubt you've been lied to, but people don't tell all

OK, I see what your saying.

This is my first time importing, and I am using Topspec on others reccomendations. All I can do is see what the quality of my car is like when it arrives, if its as good as I am lead to believe, then I will be reccomending Topspec. If if not...........Then they will be receiving bad publicity.

So far, Marc (From Topspec) has been in contact with me almost every day since paying my deposit. He has been very helpful, and I have no reason to doubt his intentions or ability to find me the right car.

Im sure Julien is also an exellent guy, but felt that his prices were too high really.

So lets see what happens!
