Santa Pod Guru's - 1/4 Mile Calculator

Post by Rowland »

I'm not sure how accurate this is, I've just thrown some figures in from my own car and it would appear about right.
Note: Weight must be entered in LB's not KG's so for a mk2 Turbo around 2730 LB's isn't far away...

:D

I entered weight of 2950lbs as thats my car with fuel and me in it. Estimated 300hp at engine = 13.2 half a second slower than i actually run.

surely it doesn't take into account different setups (gearing) so it's bound to be out a little

Try this one, lets you choose the drive type, but also gives 0-60 times etc.

That is quite a good one. Came up 2 hundredths slower and 1.33mph faster than my last recorded time.

Sorry ..... all those calculators are b0llocks chaps. It take no information about tyre size, tyre width, gearing, weight layout etc etc.

If you want to know how fast your car is, take it to the strip

Very true of course, but the second one is pretty close.

Hmmm .... not for a mid engined rwd car.

My car dyno'd at 250 at the fly, weighs around 1250kgs (assuming its a light tubby) and according to that means I can pull a 13.7 1/4 at 100 mph.

I ran a 13.1 at 104-5mph off nitrous :D
