Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Hi all,
just before I actually go out and ask MrT themselves if they do - does anyone know if they sell UK MR2 paint codes in aerosol cans ?
also - anyone know where to lookup these paint codes? - mine is "cosmos blue" ???
Thinking of colour coding the plastic trim around my Rogue lowrise quad headlamps..
I guess i will need a "plastic primer" on them first though yes ?
thanks for any info
halfrauds do ukcar paint in a can. just take in your colourcode and they mix it there and then, in an aerasol or tin for propper guns. hope that helps a little

Cheers Luize! I was wondering the same. Goin to get some!
Be warned about Halfrauds....they dont mix it that well...got some for my exact Mica blue colour.....they asked chassis number etc etc....gave them all they needed to know....and the paint was miles off......go to Toyota I'd say.....it's cheap enough!
I would have to agree here Franky. For what it will cost, although expensive for what it is, in the grand scheme of things it wont hurt your wallet too much I'd buy the real deal and make sure it's done right the first time around

I was missing the rear bumper side stickers......the stripes bit....Toyota said for me to give them my chassis number and they will find the exact match for my car..they did..spot on..the same for your paint...all they need to know about every part on your car comes from the chassis code....Halfords dont hacve access to that info on any manufacturers car IIRC....
Pretty amazing reall...

I beg to differ here
I had some mixed and the colour was spot on.
I watched the guy mix it and he got all the different colours needed exact.
I suppose its all down to the guy mixing it, they only have to get one of the colours needed a tad out and it ends up the wrong shade.

Mr T does a double pack of base paint and lacquer for about a fiver. I've bought them in the past and have been happy with the finish and colour. I thought the paint code was on the metal plaque with the chassis code in front of the spare tyre.
