Have been looking around this forum for a couple of weeks now and have to say I'm extremely impressed with what i have seen, looks like the kind of place i want to be!
Although i'm on here saying hi its not me who owns an MR2, my dad has just bought a UK Mk 2 Rev 2 in what i think is Steel Mist Grey.
It needs a little tidying up which will be done over the next couple of months, but he didn't pay a lot for the car. So far hes loving his new toyNo for my first question:
He took the car into a friends garage to get the engine checked over, everything seems ok except for a slight oil leak from the cam cover gasket and a blowing downpipe.
Gonna get it serviced in the next week or so just to keep on top of things. I just want to clarify, the cat section of the exhaust is part of the downpipe so if a cat replacement pipe was fitted its basically a new downpipe??Cheers and nice to meet you all,
