Had some very good news through the post today.. Aparantly the police have caught the scumbags who broke into my mr2 and they have confewsed to it!! (proof that miracles do happen [-o< ). ( see previous post about break in ... http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... highlight= )

This all means that I should hopefully get some compensation for my nicked stuff and broken window! Guess things have come out alright in the end then. I would love to go to court to seem em squirm when they tell them the window was £238 quid!

I had my stereo and cds nicked. They found them and the people who nicked them. Took me 18 months to get them back from the police.

Hrm.... 18 months... Spose at least you got them back in the end... I mean I wasn't expecting anything to happen... I'd more or less written it off as a loss! Would be nice to get a cheque back for the window and my stereo and cd's even if it does take a year!!

don't get your hopes up... the court will award you compensation, to be paid by the scumbags at an affordable rate (say £1 per week. They will pay the first week, but not the second.
If you want to chase them its a civil case, i.e. you pay for balifs etc, they will dissapear.

Some truth in this but if the scumbags default on paying the compensation they are in breech of a court order so you won't have to pay for baliffs, the court will, and add the cost to the scumbag bill
