[Mk2] [NA] Plastic Under Body

Post by dmhoward82 »

Hey guys,

Where I live its belting it down and well cut long story short:

I went through very LARGE puddle :P and it tryed to pull off the plastic under body that bolts on near the exhaust, not a huge piece to contend with looks like its curved to allow air into the engine bay how ever.... I have the piece does this need to be on the car i.e should I get it put back on or doesnt it matter??

helps stop water getting towards engine parts (coil etc) obviously if coil gets wet you may have a problem running your car until it drys out.

Depends how many puddles you go through!

Would definitely put the undertrays back on - stops all the road salt etc coming into contact with the underbody - prevents corrosion.
