[Mk2] [NA] Central Locking Probs

Post by Rev5GT »

Hi all,
My REV5 UK has a standard fob that locks/unlocks the doors - however it is now only locking the passenger side door and not the drivers... So i use the fob to activate thte alalrm and lock the passenger side and then lock the drivers side with the key.....

Any ideas - is it an easy DIY or does something need replacing...?

Cheers

had kinda the same prob on my rev2, the key wasnt locking the passenger door, but the passenger door would lock the drivers door and set the alarm, turned out the be the plug that goes from the drivers door lock wasnt connected to the loom, if that makes sence !

you should whip off your door card to see if theres anything-a-miss there. the plug may of come disconnected for some reason or the bar may be stuck.

ive got this problem too, but i decided to replace the motor in the drivers door as all was ok connection wise when the door card was taken off. I paid £20 for a replacement motor
