MK1 t top blue, small jobs to MOT, not a wreck though :)

MK1 T top in Mica blue

Spares or to MOT - I have just lost heart, read on :(

Really good condition all round except for front passenger arch, which does need work, and front bumper paint work is scuffed from a tow. Rest is fine. Interior is good, also has sony CD player.

She had a respray a couple of years ago by previous owner, have some pics etc.

Fitted another engine earlier this year when my head gasket went, did a few bits here and there with it, the engine is really good, starts and revs well. has powerflow exhaust and K&N. New battery. Have a few service items to fit, TRD oil filter, new oil, etc.

New drilled discs and pads front and rear but just passenger rear disc and pads to fit (I have these but it's too cold now :) )

also have stainless braided brake hoses to fit

then all I had to do was re-hang the exhaust properly (its on but just not on one hanger) and bleed the clutch after the engine swap and she would have been ready to MOT.

However, some little feckers decided to do both my door locks in and break to cowling round the ignition. even though they wouldne have been able to drive her away cos the battery was disconnected.

so now I've just lost heart, and money, what with Christmas. surely she is good for someone. Good engine and good bodywork, small jobs and she could be on the road again in just a few days.

Also - she has brand new wheels and tyres (I say new - I bought them last year but they havent done more than 40 miles)

I can't do anything with it until probably march next year when it warms up again and when I have some spare cash so I'd rather sell up :(

Little buggers. Karma will get them. Wish I could have.

Too far away for me, but you haven't said what price you're after for it.

sorry, not much access over the festive fun period.

cash wise I really don't know. I don't want to say some ridiculous over priced figure and get a loada people jumping on me :D

similarly I dont want to say £50 and see her go, I'd rather have her sat outside my house doing nothing for that price :D

It probably wouldn't be a bargain simply because I couldn't let her go for too little, you know how it is.

With the wheels/tyres (which havent really been driven on!) a good few hundred, without, considerably less cos I can sell those separately.

Sorry I cant be more precise

Nah, it didn't have the orig wheels on when I bought it, it had some alloys but I didnt like them so I sold them when I put these on.

I may get a cheap set of ebay orig wheels for it.

Bought a new battery recently too.

I've a new engine now but this would have been a good buy as a replacement.

no probs mate, and good luck with the engine :D

I have some close up pics that I took earlier for someone:

Ok here we go - I think you'll see that I probably made it out to be worse than it is?

The worst bit on the car - the front arch, this is where it's coming through

Image

The rear drivers arch. Most peoples cars are worse than this :D

Image

passenger door post, rust free

Image

drivers door post - essentially rust free but for that bit you can see - this is surface rust where some paint has come off, but totally solid. in fact I think I'll find some sandpaper and rub it down today:

Image

drivers side rust free

Image

passenger side- at the bottom near the door open light button, 'bout the size of a 2p maybe smaller. It actually looks worse in the pic than it does in real life, cos it's a bit dirty.

Image

above the windscreen

To be fair I imagine most people wouldn't even mention any of these apart from the front arch when selling.

As for prices I was thinking along the lines of £400 without wheels and about £650 with?

Which I think is a steal, seen as I paid £500 for the wheels and havent used them!!!! these could easily sell for £250-£300 on their own. Given that the engine and spares could go for another £200 I think that's a fair price but again, see for yourself if you're interested.

that includes brake disc to finish plus spare door and boot locks and ignition barrel with matching keys and 2 new door handles which are on their way to me - if I get chance I will fit them. Also have some other bits that can do a deal on all in, like goodrich brake hoses, TRD filter, CD player, etc. can take these for cheap too with it. :D

Come on, surely £400 is a bargain, it';s solid, it's gotta get gone away from my house.
