power steering light stays on

hi guys can anyone help my power steering light comes on when i start up and never goes out the steering feels fine and has done for a while i have read that i should keep turning the ignition on and off a few times to clear the contacts but it still stays on is there anything else i can try thanks

it could be you need to top up the fluid have a look in the front compartment
to the left of the spare wheel

there is a diagnostic process that makes the light flash and tell you whats wrong, do a seach, I found it when mine came on,

thanks guys, mark i have never done a diagnostic search how is this done i know the little box in the engine bay where you do it from just dont know how
