Spongy brakes

Post by Baker »

had to remove a brake line to get at some bolts, and after putting it all abck together the brakes are now spongy and weak. could it need bleeding, even though im pretty sure no air has got in anywhere?

it does sound like air in the brake lines IMO...

air doesn't compress the same as hydraulic fluid, hence the spongeyness. You can get self bleeding kits from halfords etc which can make the job easier.
