MK1 Club Stand booking - ***now all MR2's welcome***

A new event for this year, following the popularity of the regular ‘Japfest’ at Castle Combe, is ‘Japfest II’ to be held at the Donnington Race Circuit.

To book a club stand at this event I have to pre-book tickets to reserve our car spaces, but we get the tickets at half price at £6 per person. I have booked a 12 car plot, so let me know ASAP if you want a ticket. As I don’t know the level of interest for this event, I will allocate one entry ticket (plus car pass) per car, on a first-come first-serve basis. If I have spare entry tickets (ie. Less than 12 cars) then I will also allocate cheaper passenger tickets. If we are full, then your passengers will have to pay £12 on the gate (or you can book your own extra tickets on-line cheaper).

Individual track sessions on the Donnington Circuit are also available at £25 for a 15 min session. I will not be booking any of these through the club, but if you are interested you can book online, or based on what I saw at Japfest at Castle Combe there were a number of sessions still available to buy on the day. If you plan to give this a shot, then remember your driving licence and helmet, and wear long sleeves.

What is on at the event?
Drifting demos by ‘Driftworks’ are timetabled throughout the day out on the main circuit. A mobile rolling road is available to test the BHP and torque of your car. It can take up to 550bhp. There is a new ‘Japfest Sprint Challenge’ where you can “test your car’s speed and handling abilities on this exciting course as you compete against the clock to win a top prize”. This looks like a sprint circuit and I presume this is like a book in and pay on the day with similar requirements to a track session.
As will all Jap Shows there will be a large display of club stands and trade stalls, along with the usual food outlets. There is also a ‘cars for sale’ area.
