Grease for t-bar/door rubber

What can i use to keep this from cracking etc? Does some stuff perish the rubber?

i think you use peanut oil or something similar? I think helfords sell it.

oh, i stand corrected, said the man in the orthopaedic shoes!

Spose they call it palm oil or something.

u could lick the seals if u ever get hungry i guess.
