Hello everyone,

I've been looking through the site for a few weeks, and finally decided to buy a Mk1. Some really good stuff on here, and I', sure I'll need some advice soon...

just a quick one, should i be using optimax or something, or is regular unleaded ok?

You can use either in an NA. Optimax will give you better performance if your timing is set up for it.

I'm using optimax in mine at the mo' this is really because the car has been standing for nearly a year and optimax has some good detergent qualities, so i'm using it to clean the fuel system up a bit.

On a long trip, i'd stick in regular unleaded.
