I should be going for the whole weekend, but expect if i do bother to go down the strip it will be on the friday. Sat etc will be fully utilised for drinking and generally partying, and watching the other cars.

This show for me is my party weekender, rather than having to look after a mk1 club stand etc.

The funfair is cool after a beer or 3!

It is the biggest modified car event in europe, but has a chav fest reputation. but there are always some mad cars and stunnign cars to see.

yeh its definately a party weekender but good fun taking your car down the strip too. theres loads of us go every year competing for the quickest quarter. last year the amount of interior trim parts and seats lying about was crazy as we stripped the cars out to shade the times down!!!

lots of drinking and i agree, the funfair and huge club/marquee is good fun. hopefully not too many chavs!

Look out for me trying to break into the 12's (probably in vein)

Will be with a dude in a Black K reg Escort Cosworth and trying to rinse him each time. Be warned - my mate(s) will probably be driving mine too. I'm the one with the shaven head!

I think i will be going on sunday only now, spectating only. This means we end up in the public parking as the downside.

with regards to paying/camping, i 'think' if you went on sat eve you would still have to pay a sat/sun charge - but sat night there is loads to do (funfair, dance tents etc, and pole dancing if thats your thing LOL)

Good day out, disappointed with my 1/4 mile time but there's always next time  Best i got was 13.8. 1st run wheelspinned 2nd run i reckon i got a nice launch but missed 3rd gear #-o lol 3rd run i hesitated on the clutch+accelarater at the lights, sould have turned the launch control off and tried a manual launch ](*,) I know i can get a better time just need to sort my launch/reaction time and missing 3rd gear out

I saw 2 MR2's going down the strip at the end of the day, was yours one of them 'smiffy1982'?

Good to see the apexi worked ok. Whats next for the car now? Great time for 1st run, the car felt quick when we tried it the night before.

That’s a great time for your cars spec, well done! even more impressive considering its was your first time at the drag strip.

Great weekend away, allways a pleasure to meet/chat with Imoc members.

was that the one with no front end panels on it at all?

stuff does seem to get quicker and quicker each year at USC.

Becci (aka Ducatichick) ran a 10.2, so atleast 1 imoc member beat the Novas time
