easy fella, smack bang on the bottom of the sump towards the middle of the car.
may be worthwhile buying a new washer from toyota too, only cost 1 quid os so - but dont worry if u dont want to, ive done 2 oil changes without changing it, and 1 where i did change it.

so lying on the floor at the back of the car slide under a bit (you dont need to jack) there is the sump, in the middleish and the bolt is towards the back of it, i think its a 13 spanner one.
the oil filter is near the turbo (next to dipstick towards bulkhead) and it reasonably easy to get off.

hth

LOL! Its only easy if it hasnt been overtightened! I think the Incredable Hulk fitted the oil filter on my car before I got it. Took me ages (even using the correct tool) to get it off. Evertime I service my car now they come off fairly easy! Good luck!

little secret for you - an oil filter remover (that has a 1/4 inch opening on for attachment to a ratchet) for a honda fireblade fits perfectly!

i dont think they are expensive (especially mine - i borrow the neighbours) :D

p.s mobil 1 is the best matey - good choice

Best oil filter remover is a pair of latex/rubber gloves

Changed my oil recently (inbetween dealer services), and had difficulty even with the sump plug, thought the whole sump was going to come off  (not that a certain Wakefield dealership will be getting visited again in future anyway due to cambelt issues  )

hmmmmm..... hope you haven't refilled the oil system if you're intending to take the filter off?? I'm sure you haven't but if you have, and you take the filter off, you gona lose a lot of oil!!! (Unless the filter for tubby is in a different place to NA?)

NA has oil filter in same place as a tubby, but ballmysta23 has a rev1 or 2 that has the filter halfway up the block.

Tip for replacing the filter.. Smear a little general purpose greese or oil around the rubber seal, it will make it easier to take off in the future.. I do this with every oil filter change I do and never have a problem removing even after 18000 miles on one car (wasnt me MR2 was a £100 Astra LOL)

just to add to this, sorry i got it wrong. the filter remover is for a yamaha r6 - not a honda fireblade. my neighbour just informed me!
sorry if you already rushed out to buy one

I just bought a chain wrench with socket on so I can fit my torque wrench to it - cost £5! Should work fine although I haven't used it yet, I just tightened mine by hand - I must check it though!!
