you see what you can do without wonky bits on your car  I've driven your car(I've driven about 50+mr2 turbos) and as you know I think it's remakable quick for the mods it has.I reckon the Japs put a little extra effort in when they built yours  Well done mate a fantastic result :P

The track was terrible today! It's been bad in the past but today really did take the pee :?

That combined with the fact that I had only just got the car back from having the new turbo fitted and so was completely clueless as to how best to launch the bloody thing either = bogging down or spinning through the first few gears!

Still it was'nt all bad. I managed to leave with a 12.7 which is my best time to date and I won my little bet with Mark Edwards by beating him.....and his MOTEC!

Well done Luke.
You do realise, however, that when you want to beat that time you will have to book me to run against you. About time you returned the favour
I also had serious problems getting any grip, although I got within 2 tens of my best time with a 60ft time 1/2 second worse, & terminal speed is also increasing.
Nice to see a good showing of 2's today too :!:

To be fair though bry, neither of us got anywhere near what i was expecting. I was hoping for a close battle around the 12.2 - 12.3 area. The track conditions were apalling and traction was a big problem. Mikes turbo wasn't allowing him what he should of been getting and mine.....F**K KNOWS whats happening with mine, i was trapping 5mph lower than i was in november and half a second of my times then too. Looks like i've lost power somehow, not gained it. More investigation needed.

Good time for you though luke, well done mate. :D

dont think you was losing power. my best in november was 12.94 @ 105 with a 1.8 sec 60 ft, yesterday my best was 13.8 @ 100 with a 2.3 sec 60 ft, that was the night run, after lunch I ran 14.3, 14.4 and 14.5 @ 100 due to not being able to get off the line

Well done everyone, LOL Luke your a 1/4 mile demmon.
He set his fastest time ever on a bad track has shown everyone up in the process, fair play. 12.9 on a stock mr2 with slightly raised boost. Impressive.

The force is strong in you young one
I can just see him now switching off his guidence computer as the lights started changing.

Mark, I thought you had a nice diff in yours, surely that should have helped you

It was my first time at 1/4 mile racing. We got there quite early and our first run we got loads of grip, but after lunch it was relly slippery. But it was bloody freezing. The trouble i found was trying to be aggressive whilst not breaking your car. on the first run there was a big bang as i got traction and it scared the hell out of me, thought id ripped the rear axle off. Unbelievable time by skywalker when you see how much people spend to go slower. He is a small guy though. :D

Well done mate

Its very sweet when you can cut down cars with craploads more spent on them, driver skill is half the battle on the strip.

Well done fellar !! welcome to the 12's !!! :D

I was hoping for a close battle around the 12.2 - 12.3 area

Mark - your expectations are pretty high fellar !! its not easy pulling low 12's !! need to get some serious pulling power mid range ... i recon you should be doing traps of 115 mph before planting yourself with a good solid 12.2/3 and thats with some 2.0 - 2.2 60ft time too !

This time of the year is ideal for the engine producing the goods :D , but not for the ole traction

the problem for me was revs, couldn't quite get it right. The power i should have should of pulled it through after the launch though, but it just wasn't there. Looking at my power graph, i've got nothing after 5250rpm which is confusing me, but i will get to the bottom of it, hopefully by next time.

In november i was trapping at 110 and consistently at 12.8's with 2.0s 60' times. In june i was consistently doing 1.8 60' times so i know i can do it. With all this supposed extra power i should have now, 115mph trap times should of been easy, so 12.3 is a realistic figure i would of thought.
