I voted for "open to all cars" because I don't know when my MR2 will be on the road and I really enjoyed today (despite getting soaked wet through trying to fix the girls' MR2 in the pouring rain/sleet) and would like to do another :)

Current timescale for getting it back on the road is the end of this month, so I should be able to bring it next time :D.

The only thing is, the cow patches have gone now, so it's just a white 200SX :(

I've done a few handling mods to it though, so I'd love to test them on the roads we've driven on today  It will use a damn site less petrol than the Starion too.

I can't fault the Starion's performance and reliability today though - I haven't given it a good run like today for well over a year. It's one thing thinking it's reliable, but it's another thing entirely proving it 8)

I agree, the more the merrier! Was a good idea posing route up on different Jap car forums, that Skyline was superb! 8)

By the way the Poll question says to select 2 answers? erm doesnt sound right :? I think you mean select 1 answer? :-k

Leave it open, it's good to see as many cars as possible. Some of the runs we do only get a few cars and we need the numbers.

As for being too competitive, my Mk1 has a dyno proven 104bhp but I could keep up - come on you tubbies, why spend more on bhp if you're not gonna use it!

nice to see such a good response guys.

i voted to keep things open aswell as im a lover of all performance cars but there are some who wanted it mr2 only so thought it would be best to put it to vote to save argument.

only fair way to do it.

im crap with computers so ended up with the results not hidden or are they only veiwable to me?

and asking to select more than one answer

Rob,

I was chatting to hicks yesterday - there was definately differences between groups as far as speed was concerned!

The group I lead down to the pub was at quite a respectable pace - probably averaged around 55-65mph with the occasional higher speeds!

Think everyone enjoyed it at that pace (well, didn't get any complaints), so I think getting in the right group may make a big difference!

The group rx7mark was in was apparently quite a rapid one - he said the leader was constantly booting it, making it very difficult for guys at the back to keep up (hence why a few got lost) - by the time the back cars could open there's up - the front cars were long gone!!

Just my thoughts, guys!

maybe try and split into two groups for the next one?

look at having people who want to drive hard in one group and people who want to have more of a cruise in another?

dont think im calling anyone slow or saying people were driving too fast as im not, everyone has different veiws on what is fast or not etc.

the next one will be alot better as more people will hopefully know the route resulting in less people getting lost and the people who do know the way shouldnt need to worry about the people behind them too much.

i will also say that i highly recommend you get a walkie talkie for the next run as they were ace and helped us out, especially on the route back.

i dont think people were using the directions as much neither and were concentrating on just keeping the car in front in site but doesnt always work especially if the car infront doesnt know the route neither.

the directions were split into two section, quick notes and detailed instructions with the quick notes designed for the drivers without a passenger. basically from the very begining of the run you use the directions and when ever you get to a certain point look at them again to see where you need to be next. that way you dont need to follow the car infront as you already know what your looking for.

for people with passengers it should be even easier as they can read the detailed directions out as you go down the route and guide you through like a rally co driver

I aint got a problem with going quick...... but anyone who wants to get up my ass and try to push me to go faster in those conditions wants there head looking at.....

Some people did seem to have a point to prove.... personally i cant see why, Some very nice cars there.... seems a shame there willing to risk them in such appaling conditons all for the sake of saying im quicker than you.

Sure in the dry give it some welly, but im really dissapointed that people didn't wait up a bit more considering the weather.

Shame on you all
