HELP!!! engine died, error codes 24 and 31 URGENT!!!

Post by hicks »

i need your guys help urgently.

took my car on a quick run while the weather was nice and before the engine had even had chance to warm up all power kept dissapearing then coming back on again. eventually the engine cut out and wouldnt start again.

reset the ecu and its now on safe mode and managed to limp home but is reading error codes 24 and 31.

really need to sort this asap as my car is due to be put on the rolling road on the 8th and i have orginised a drive out to the cat and fiddle on the 9th so desperetly need to get the car back up and running.

any help would be muchly appreciated [-o<

thanks in advance

alex.

found out what the error codes stand for.

31 = Inhalation pipe pressure meter
24 = Inhalation temperature indicator

could this be the air flow meter?

ok........crisis over.

decided it must be related to the air flow meter so before i went and got another one i decided to check around the air flow meter its self to make sure everything was connected etc. low and behold the main connector on top of the air flow meter had come loose :oops:

oh well.

at least the error codes have a use, never would have thought to check otherwise as it wasnt obvious to look at it.

thanks for the replys guys :)
