Not quite right. 158 BHP for Rev1+2. Then Rev3 (1994+) was 173bhp, then Rev5 was 167bhp or 200bhp for the BEAMS engine.

The thing is, on a car well past ten years old, it will have lost a few bhp, or so one would expect.

158bhp for rev1+2, although 154bhp for rev2's with a cat (can't remember if it's UK or import rev2s that got the cat).
173bhp for rev3
168bhp for rev4+ (197bhp (200ps) for rev5 BEAMS).

Just wondering why the BHP went down on the rev 4+ also what did this do to the 0-60 times compared to the other revs?? anyone?

0-60 times on the rev4+ were the same as the rev3 despite losing 5bhp.
The reduction was more emissions gubbins or something.

Although the Rev3+ had almost 20 odd more bhp, it is slower to 60 than its predecessors...or so they say!

20bhp more top end, less low down torque, hence slower accelerating

Aye, tis true, much prefer getting to 60 rather than 160.

I do find that, they feel like smaller cars. but no side impact bars

I have a CAT on my G-limited rev3
