please help a sc owner

hello ha everyone me cars done and on tuesday morning they turn the key
but we have one problem
we have on electrical connector that is not connected and cannot find what it goes to -- green with a single pin off the main loon fron the ecu
we not longer have the intake pipe did it have a sensor on it? we are not sure please have quick look at tell me where it should go
also it it was on the itake pipe o we need it?
here is a pic of the connector
it is on loom under the throttle contol and sc intake
i am hoping it is just a spare one?

Shish or Lauren area better bet, but from my own experience I can tell you not every connector actually goes somewhere in the SC engine bay!!

cheers T but i think mine and yours o not resemble the gze any more:) we should make a name up for them but i am jus tbeing silly now where im all excited

LOL currently my engine bay is still standard apart from a large pulley :(

I can tell you though that I have a couple of these connectors not attached...

ha well we hope that is what it is as cannot see it being a awitcha s it is onlya asingle wire
will tell wehn we start it up if the ecu light comes up
will get a soun recording or it when it starts
he said it will be on my drive for chritmas:)
lets hope your follows soon - not too soon let me get the onther bits done
the spray work on yours is brill BTW

Hmmn, does sound is if something isn't right!

Looks like that makes about 4 people then (who like my paint job) LOL

no we have not started the car yet that not till monday/tuesday just saying if the light oes stayt on but prob will not:)

i like the paint cos i love yellow an its different and that what my car is all about as well so i understand it as well

Just had a look on mine - it looks like that wire goes off under the throttle body somewhere, but I can't see where it ends up :(

Feels taut - I think it is connected to something. Given its a single wire my guess is its a sensor of some kind - maybe knock sensor ?

i've taken a look at mine but can't find it but i was looking with a torch.
Will try again in daylight!!

Not sure - only a stab in the dark, and I aint even started my SC for about 3 months never mind lifted the engine bay - but it looks like the clip for the engine bay fan?

However, having this disconnected would not cause the ECU light to come on.....

My bet is on the knock sensor, it will definately throw codes and put the engine MIL light on without it. There aren't many connectors round there for it to be to be honest.

chatted to them today and
knock sensor and temp sender defiantly connected
hmm strange will investigate further and see what errors it comes up with mot is tuesday:)
