Hiya Peeps,

My car is getting close to needing its timing belt change and I’m not brave enough to attempt it myself. So could anyone recommend a garage that they use in the NW as I will also need to get the knocking from the front checked out soon as its got to the point where its driving me mad. :(

Thankyou

Matt

I can definitely reccomend MRD - Got a full service & timing belt change on my REV 3 Turbo there last week for £320. Not only was this £400 cheaper than the dearest quote from Mr T, but he also pointed me in the right direction in sorting the knocking noise from my front end, and didn't try and rip me off :)

I am new to the MR2 Mk1, am also new to car jargon generally as well as this website.

What is 'Rev 3'. How do you know the timing belt needs changing? And also I have a leaking radiator, which is my first priority. After that what should I look at next? Car is 1986 model, body is great shape, but not too sure about servicing etc as preious owner as a lady who admits she wasnt too hot on that side of it. MRD website looks good. Anyone else got any good comments?

Thanks in advance.
