hi everyone, i have finally got my new rims on and have taken a few pics.
tha rims are 17" rota slipstreams with polished lip, tyre sizes are 215 40 17 front and 245 40 17 rear








i have also just had the bad news that i will be forced into sale, so i will posting the car and its spec with more pics in the forsale section, thanx alot

My new MR2 comes on 7.5J x 17s, and I'm getting 235s for rear, it already has new 205s at the front (not ideal, but they're new!)

I have 2 sets

one set is 8J rears and yes 245's (215's on 7J fronts) - the pic over there on the left <<<

my new ones are 9J rears and 8J fronts still with the same tyres as above - stretched a little but still perfectly ok.. here's a pic - I'm a pic junkie

hi thanx for comments and moving the post,
the wheels are 8j rear and 7j fronts just like jim gts
the car handles like a go kart and feels alot better with these sizes of wheels.

i really dont want to sell but, oh well

do you have the original wheels then ?.. as you would be better off selling those new ones seperately..

yes i do actually and i am half way through re-conditioning them!
i dont know how much i will get for the car as it is or with the originals so dont know if its worth splitting.

DEFINATELY put the originals back on, and sell your news ones on their own.

you will not get back as much if you sell your new ones on teh car in a package.

They're not the same as Jims are they? as Jims has rivetts in them around the rim?

What dya think the andthra/ polished ones would look like on a black MR2?

the pic above in a multistory carpark ? - that's my car ! (it's cosmosblue not black )... it's a bit or a dark pic though I grant you..

I got them from Japan via Yahoo Auctions - (9J rear and 8J front) - needed coilovers i think to get the fronts on... (with spacers too )

not cheep when you add on the refurb cost as they were second hand - and I've just damaged one again - now need straightening again
