which way does the 2nd idler pulley bolt undo?

Anyone know? Is it clockwise. I've been told clockwise and anti clockwise by 2 different people!

Someone give me the definitive answer please???

No funny bolts on this engine - everything bolts off anticlockwise !

Right, I'm going to grind the head off the bolt later and take the rest of it out with a stud extractor

Seriously Paul firstly have a go with a spanner and a rubber mallet. I have never not managed to get a bolt loose using this method. Shocking the bolt loose is bar far the best way.

Tried that, it rounded the bolt off!

So I havent got a lot of choice!

Hex shaped socket ?

Even take a grinder to the bolt heads and take some meat off it making it a smaller head is feasible - unbolt it with a 13mm !!

That worked a treat mate!! :D I'm happy now! a 14mm bolt becomes a perfectly good 13mm bolt

Everything is stripped appart from the crank shaft and pistons now!
