fitting a double din unit in my g-ltd and I have recently purchased a pair of brackets to complete fitment.
having pulled out all the dash bits to get to the guts of the din holes, i find the brackets attch to the double din unit 100% but the brackets themselves seem too big for the apature. has anyone recenlty fitted a set of brackets for a double din unit or know the measurements of the brackets etc the ones i have
(bought from ebay listed as from a mr2 glt 1991) !! exactly my car are: 14 cm in total length
(top hole to botom hole) 8.5cm in width total
10cm inside top hole to inside bottom hole
8.5cm width
it seems as the middle section fits perfectly inside double din unit hole but it seeems that the holes knock up against the ac control button and the top hole hits up against the main dash.
so basically the middle of the bracket seems to suit but the holes seem to be far apart, or am i missing something blinking obvious! any help very, very much appreciated!
