How do you remove the standard stereo?

How do you remove the standard stereo?

I'm about to replace my standard single din head unit from my uk mk2 and was wondering if there is a quick way to release it without removing the dash surrounds? I would appreciate any advice on this,thanks.

As far as I know the only way to do ti is by removing the dash

Im afraid its the only way mate, on the other hand its hard for criminals to remove also, so its not all bad :P
