1996 N/A import radiator - desperate help required

Post by sbishopuk »

Hi,

Newbie to the site so please forgive me, i have a 1996 n/a import and need to replace the rad - now the core measures roughly 560mm and the fan mounts on the top are at approx 300mm centres. from what i can see only 670mm core rads are readily available and i'm guessing that my fan mountings will not match up to the new rad ones - any help/guidance/solutions would be much appreciated

Welcome, alot of members have used the alloy rads you can buy on eBay and they seem to work well.

For mounting the fans you can either use some sheet steel strips with the fan bolted at one end then the other bolted to the radiator mounting point or some people behave just used cable ties through the mounting holes which whilst untidy works and isn't seen with everything back in place

Thanks Chris, so buying the 670 core wont be a problem to install then? Would having a larger rad behind the ac condenser which looks a similar size to my rad pose any issues?

If it's advertised for a sw20 it should fit fine, it shouldn't affect your ac rad
