Drop link replacement 3 SGTE?

Post by stecad »

Struggling to see how to get them out.
Managed to get the bolts undone top and bottom.
Separated from the ARB but the top jams against the wheel arch and cannot be removed.
I can see 2 large bolts at the bottom of the suspension strut. Will the strut rotate slightly if I crack these?
Thanks

I think to get the old link out and the new one in you'll need to loosen those two bolts and remove the top one so you can pivot the strut on the hub. This should give enough clearance to slip the top of the new link in.

Front or rear? I've never had to undo the strut to hub bolts to remove a drop link. They are a tight fit, but they will go.

Sorted.
There's a recess in the wheel arch. You need to jack the strut up so that the drop link aligns with the recess.
Shame the new drop links are the wrong length.
Nowt's ever easy ](*,) ](*,)
